Jennifer Aniston has recently opened up about her fertility issues and accepted that she would not have biological children; Jennifer said that she “would´ve given anything” if someone had told her to freeze her eggs. She also said that for her, “the ship has sailed.”
At 40 years old, she was trying to conceive, but it was challenging. Saying that the baby-making road was hard. After much speculation about her fertility, the actress revealed, “I was going through In Vitro Fertilization, drinking Chinese teas, I was throwing everything at it.” Today we will talk about Jennifer’s story about fertility and why egg freezing may be a great option for conceiving.
Any woman who has undergone an IVF treatment knows how challenging it can be. For Aniston, there was a significant pressure of knowing that paparazzi were looking for a baby bump.
Looking back on her journey, Jennifer expressed disappointment that it didn’t turn out as she had wished. She said she does not have zero regrets and feels a little relief now because “there is no more,” and she doesn’t have to think about that anymore. Of course, Aniston has endured strong speculation over the years and even spoke to many reporters about the impact of all those pregnancy rumors on her.
In a talk she had with the women’s magazine Allure, the actress said that those pregnancy rumors surrounding her weren’t always what upset her the most. Instead, the narrative that she was “selfish” for focusing on her career and achieving her goals instead of having kids got her bothered.
She said that people thought she just cared about her career and the reason why her marriage ended was not really because she couldn’t give him a kid, that those were lies. And she didn’t have anything to hide.
In 2016, Jennifer wrote an article for the Huffington Post to clap back at the media’s fixation on her fertility, “For the record, I am not pregnant,” she wrote. “What I am is fed up” In her interview with the magazine Allure, the actress explained what compelled her to write the article.
“I was like, I’ve just got to write this because it’s so maddening, and I’m not superhuman to the point where I can’t let it penetrate and hurt.”

Egg freezing, also known as egg vitrification, is part of the assisted reproductive techniques that allow women to preserve their reproductive potential by extracting eggs from the female ovary, which have not been fertilized, to be preserved for future use.
After some time, the frozen or vitrified eggs can be thawed and fertilized with sperm in a laboratory to create an embryo and implant it in the female uterus through In Vitro Fertilization technique.
